Capio Private Hospital

Capio Private Hospital aimed to strengthen its position as a trusted partner for the healthcare sector in Denmark, contributing to a better, more integrated organization of the healthcare system. Following the acquisition of a company that operates medical practices for general practitioners and provides doctors and nurses as temporary staff, Capio needed to clarify the value it creates for the welfare society, including the public sector, private companies, insurance companies, and patients. This required building trust and collaboration with the public sector, political decision-makers, and officials at all levels, as well as gaining understanding from the broader public.

Substantia supported Capio’s efforts to demonstrate that, with the expansion of its services into new areas, the hospital creates conditions where both the public sector and Capio as a private provider can ensure better organization and task performance within the overall healthcare sector. This was achieved through the development of targeted PR activities and communication with relevant stakeholders within the private and public sectors. These stakeholders included key figures from patient associations and NGOs, regional officials and politicians, as well as high-ranking officials and political decision-makers at the national level.

The project helped spread the narrative of how Capio aims to address the challenging tasks within the healthcare system today, including better treatment, reduced waiting times, and employee retention. As a result, Capio, in connection with the acquisition of the company, established a good collaboration with key individuals in the healthcare sector, including patient associations, insurance companies, pension companies, as well as officials and political decision-makers at both the regional and national levels.
