Copenhagen’s Transport and Traffic Policy Forum

Copenhagen’s Transport and Traffic Policy Forum 2020 has the unique purpose of establishing an independent discussion forum. Substantia has acted as secretariat for the forum, which has to develop ideas, ensure quality decisions and create mutual understanding.

In short

Situation

Copenhagen is in many ways Europe’s green capital and one of the most economically successful and vibrant European cities. But transport and traffic are still one of the most challenging environmental, social and political problems in the world today – in Copenhagen, too. New collaborations, partnerships and alliances must help meet the challenges, seize the opportunities and contribute to create attractive solutions for citizens, visitors and businesses. Copenhagen’s Transport and Traffic Policy Forum 2020 will develop and discuss ideas within the strategic areas that are of natural interest to the municipality, the citizens and the important businesses and stakeholders.

Solution

Substantia has acted as secretariat for the forum, which has to develop ideas, ensure quality decisions and create mutual understanding. Analyses, cases and data have been produced and included on an ongoing basis.

Results

The forum’s ‘end product’ consisted of a catalogue of ideas and recommendations, which both the municipality and the participants can, by agreement, use and be inspired by.

Description

Copenhagen’s Transport and Traffic Policy Forum 2020 has the unique purpose of establishing an independent discussion forum where a number of important representatives from the sector can develop ideas, ensure quality decisions and create mutual understanding on “neutral ground” at Substantia and outside of the established decision-making processes.
