In collaboration with Microsoft, Substantia has launched the Forum for Digital Sustainability, which will create a prioritized portfolio of recommendations across society, companies and citizens.
The many possibilities of digitization must not be governed by what is technically possible – not even when it comes to artificial intelligence. The Forum for Digital Sustainability must qualify and put the public debate into perspective through discussion and data collection, as well as create a conversation that makes room for a united voice across special interests and especially optics. As a starting point, the network has discussed and identified the societal challenges and opportunities that AI represents, with representation from Microsoft as well as entities from political and public life.
In collaboration with Microsoft, Substantia has launched the Forum for Digital Sustainability which, with a holistic approach to AI, will create a prioritized portfolio of recommendations across society, companies and citizens. The network also has a number of recommendations for societal initiatives in Denmark and internationally.
The result consists of a report, prepared over a period of time, with a major focus on the development of and the frameworks for artificial intelligence. Consequently, the report can be regarded as a supplementary proposal for other initiatives also in Denmark, including from the government’s expert group on data ethics, the government’s strategy for AI, the establishment of the Data Ethics Council, etc.
The Forum for Digital Sustainability has been established on the basis that both politicians and companies should take on significantly greater responsibility for the problem areas of digitization. This requires special and new initiatives – both in Denmark and globally. With a holistic approach to the use and development of artificial intelligence, researchers, politicians and companies have formulated proposals for initiatives across society, companies and individuals in a joint process.
