When the Cityringen Sydhavn opens in 2024, the southern part of Copenhagen will be connected to the entire metro system.

In short

When the City Circle Line Sydhavn opens in 2024, the southern part of Copenhagen will be connected to the entire metro system, reducing traffic congestion and increasing mobility. Before that can happen, 4.5 km of twin tunnel tubes need to be constructed, along with five additional underground stations, as well as a number of shafts, ramps, boxes, and other structures in southern Copenhagen.

A significant part of the project involves providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders, partners, and media about how Copenhagen’s largest infrastructure project plays an important role in delivering the project safely and on time.

The solution consisted of ongoing communication advice and press handling related to the project.

Description

The five new stations on the line will be located at Fisketorvet, Enghave Brygge, Sluseholmen, at Mozarts Plads and at Ny Ellebjerg. TUNN3L JV I/S will deliver the construction to Metroselskabet, owned by the municipalities of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg, as well as the Ministry of Transport.
